One of the most valuable pieces of advice I can offer is to avoid holding on too tightly. This is one of the hardest things to prevent yourself from doing, especially when you're on a 200 HP motorcycle that’s constantly trying to throw you off, but the benefits are huge if you can make yourself do it. Just take a look at my outside hand in nearly any photo. It's always loose and relaxed. Gripping too tight not only fatigues your body but also inhibits the bike from performing as it should.

Throughout my 25 plus years in the sport, I've observed countless riders, including myself, who tend to overthink the process of going fast on a motorcycle. My advice? Don’t get bogged down by suspension settings, tire temperatures, or data. Focus on making your bike feel like an extension of yourself when you’re in the seat. Once you’ve found that comfort, put in the laps. Focus on honing your skills rather than seeking advice from multiple sources. Concentrate on finding your comfort on the bike, and the lap times will follow. Trust the process and stay dedicated!

It’s a new all time record for the longest distance between two superbike championships. It was also the first time in 30 years that Ducati has won the American Superbike Championship!
