We got lucky and got one of the best spots simply because we asked a guy if he was leaving & he was! (The power of conversation & interacting with fellow humans) It had direct water access and a private lookout so I swam for hours, getting so close to seals as I did, I sat atop a cliff overlooking the vast sea while totally naked, waving at boaters passing. And on the last day, we saw Orca's!!!! (From very far away) but it was a sight indeed. I feel so lucky to wake up each day and experience new beauty!
