This stretch is great for strengthening and stretching starting from the waist down if youโre not able to touch the ground when you first start out try grabbing the back of your calves then slowly putting your finger tips on the ground at your own comfort level then start to touch your palms to the ground and eventually try to touch your stomach to your quads and allow your body to slowly fold in half while regulating your breathing. ๐ง๐ปโโ๏ธ

When your opponent is coming at you to stop them from attacking or getting close enough to you. Usually executed with the back leg and is very powerful when hit in the correct spot in the mid section. ๐๐ผ

Then whip your back leg behind you and before dropping it to the floor lift your front leg and hit the target that way the kick is executed in the air and you can keep the momentum.๐ฅ

With your supporting leg you then need to turn on the ball of your foot and making sure you are pivoting all the way through to avoid knee injuries (this is very important) once you are pivoted youโre going to extend your leg out ( remember where ever your knee points is where youโre leg is going to follow so if you lift your knee up higher youโre aiming for the face, if youโd like to target the mid section lift the knee up slightly above the height of your waist) make sure you hit with the top of the foot and take your shot anywhere to the opponentโs back or core or take your shot to the head. ๐ช๐ผ

Weather youโre realizing it or not our thoughts influence our actions greatly and vise-versa. This cycle does not end and can make even the best athletes crash under pressure simply out of nerves, over thinking, not being confident enoughโฆetc. You must make sure your mind is in a good place and that you are practicing positive self talk and building yourself up mentally. Meditation and having a steady mind is very much crucial as well. As much as you give your body a good workout you must also exercise and also relax your mind. ๐ญ๐ช๐ผ๐

If you donโt pivot correctly and turn too quickly unfortunately it can lead to too much pressure on your knees and you can eventually tear ligaments in your knee! Always make sure you are taking the necessary precautions. ๐ฅ

The core is actually your body's main source of power, unfortunately being strong in your arms isnโt enough to ensure you will have great punches and being strong in the legs wonโt mean your kicks will be great. All though it will be helpful to be strong all over your body will be helpful all together make sure youโre especially not neglecting your core and work out those abs ! ๐ช๐ผ
